As I was getting out of my car, I noticed something in the lawn behind Advancement...there stood two deer - a buck and doe. It's not everyday you see deer on the campus at L-dub. :-)
I stood there watching them as they made there way over to the holly tree in the back yard of the Upward Bound house. I stood there for about 5 minutes watching them eat. They then moved on to the white Human Services house.
It was such a pleasant and peaceful moment. A great start to my morning. :-)

I set here this morning thinking about Bonner orientation this year. And, how for our new students, the information we need to cover in a two day period will be so overwhelming, it will be like taking a drink out of a fire hydrant. :-) (I love it when Elise says this.) It is necessary, however, to stress the importance of accountability with this program. There are many fun things to do but there are expectations that come along with this. This is a life-changing program. Bonners, if you read this, just be prepared to come to orientation focused... we will have some paperwork to complete but we will do some teambuilding and fun activities as well.

Bonner Love,
ATW :-)
